The 4 best juicers in 2022
We tested 11 juicers, and these 4 are worth their price.
Best multi-purpose juicer: Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer
The Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer produces rich, velvety juice and goes beyond the usual expectations by being able to be used as a citrus press and ice cream maker with the help of attachments.
- Speed: 60 RPM
- Warranty: 10 years limited to all parts
- Advantages: Versatile, 10-year warranty on all parts, BPA-free plastic, extra-wide filling opening
Disadvantages: Heavy, some accessories are sold separately, cleaning can be time-consuming
The Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer is a good investment if you're looking for a multi-purpose appliance: In addition to the juice strainers, there are smoothie and ice cream strainers (both included), and a citrus press is available separately.
The Whole Slow Juicer's 8cm-wide feed tube can handle larger pieces of fruit than our test winner, and at 60 revolutions per minute, it's a bit faster, but that comes at a price: The Kuvings squeezed less liquid from our fruits and vegetables, and its moister pulp suggested some good pieces were left in the waste pile. Still, it was the richest and most homogenous juice we produced.
The citrus juicer attachment is simple and does the job, and although it is more expensive than it needs to be, it is still far cheaper than buying a separate appliance.
We made a berry-banana smoothie that had a consistent consistency, didn't foam, and was smoother than anything we've ever made with a blender. The sorbet strainer for frozen desserts was more difficult to manage: We had success with banana gelato, but not much else. Making sorbet, gelato, and ice cream as effortlessly as this YouTuber requires a certain level of freezing skill (and practice).
Our main criticism: The shaft makes an unfavorable curve towards the auger, which leads to delays and difficulties in cleaning.
