Make your own fresh almond milk

Almond milk is the perfect plant-based alternative to cow's milk - lactose-free, cholesterol-free and full of valuable nutrients .

Whether for coffee, smoothies, muesli or baking – homemade almond milk not only tastes better than store-bought versions, but also contains no additives or preservatives.

How to make your own almond milk:

Ingredients

  • 200 g almonds (unpeeled or blanched)
  • 1 liter of water
  • Optional: 1 date or 1 tsp maple syrup for a slight sweetness
  • Optional: 1 pinch of sea salt or a vanilla pod for more flavor

Preparation with the Kuvings Slow Juicer

  1. Soak almonds overnight (at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours for an even creamier consistency).
  2. Drain and rinse with fresh water.
  3. Add almonds and 1 liter of water alternately into the Kuvings Slow Juicer .
  4. Tip: Work in small batches for best results.
  5. Open the Smart Cap and let the fresh almond milk run directly into the glass.
  6. Optionally for a thinner consistency: Filter through a fine sieve or a nut milk bag .
  7. Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 3-4 days!

Tips for variations

  • Chocolate almond milk – Add 1 tbsp cocoa powder & a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Coconut-almond milk – Juice 50g of desiccated coconut with the almonds.
  • Vanilla almond milk – Add a vanilla bean or vanilla extract.
