Mighty Muscle Juice Recipe with Chef Gary Dowse

This vegetable juice recipe was a lot of fun to make. It's vibrant in color and packed with healthy, fresh nutrients for muscle tissue.

It's a powerful blend that supports overall muscle function and provides essential nutrients for strength, endurance, and recovery. Regular consumption of this juice can help maintain optimal muscle health and performance—whether you're an athlete or just looking to stay active and strong.


Taste Very neutral in taste, slightly sweet and earthy.

Ingredients

2 beetroots

3 red peppers

250 g bean sprouts

Preparation time: 6 minutes

Juice quantity: 700 ml

Servings: 3

Beetroot

  • Halve and then quarter
  • Cut each half into thin slices to make pressing easier
  • Juice with the peel (leaves and stems can also be juiced if available)

  • Remove the green stem
  • Halve or quarter them so that they fit into the wide feeding chute
  • Remove any excess seeds (they can be juiced with the juice)

Bean sprouts

  • Juice whole sprouts in small handfuls

Cold press juicing method

Start with the bean sprouts. Add them to the juicer one at a time, without overfilling it.

Next, add the pepper halves one at a time.

Finally, juice the beetroot slices. I recommend adding about 1/4 of the slices at a time.

Tip: Bean sprouts spoil quickly, so juice them promptly after purchase. To store for up to 5 days: Rinse in cold water, pat dry with a paper towel, and store in an airtight container with additional paper towels.
