Homemade dog treats made from juice pomace

We have three simple ones
Recipes for dog treats made with pomace from your Whole Slow Juicer.

There's nothing like a glass of fresh juice during the "dog days" of summer. But what do you do with the leftover pomace? The answer may be obvious... your dog!

March 23rd is National Puppy Day 2022, so it's the perfect time to give your dog a little extra love. If you can't use the pomace right away, you can refrigerate it for 4 hours or freeze it for a few months.

These natural dog treat recipes use either oats or oatmeal. Oats are often used in dog treats because they are low in sugar and high in protein.

You can easily make oat flour yourself by mixing oats into a fine flour.

You are welcome to replace oat flour with wholemeal flour, buckwheat flour, chickpea flour or almond flour.

We do not recommend using white flour in dog treat recipes. While white flour works, it doesn't have any special nutritional content for dogs. Bananas, peanut butter, and coconut oil are the main ingredients in these recipes. Bananas are a sweet treat for dogs, peanut butter is a delicious source of protein, and coconut oil contains healthy fats.

IMPORTANT: Not all fruits and vegetables are suitable for dogs. Make sure your pomace is free of these ingredients!
