Strawberry-Peach-Cashew Milk with Chef Gary Dowse
This recipe was inspired by the combination of strawberries, peaches, and cream for dessert. The fruit flavors blend beautifully, and the cashews provide a neutral base for the milk. The first thing you'll notice is how easy it is to make delicious and healthy nut milk at home with your juicer. You don't need any additional equipment; you can prepare the milk using the included strainer. A healthy alternative to store-bought flavored milk.
Have fun juicing!
The taste
Light and creamy with a sweet strawberry-peach flavor.
Ingredients
4 peaches, pitted
100 g strawberries
1 cup raw, unsalted cashews, soaked
2 cups filtered water
Time : 5 min.
Quantity : 1000 ml
Servings : 4
preparation
- Strawberries : First, remove the small green leaves from the strawberries. If desired, you can juice these leaves along with the strawberries. Then juice the strawberries whole.
- Peaches : First, cut a full circle horizontally along the seam around the peach. Then, turn the fruit in half. Take one half and cut along the seam to expose the pit. Continue turning the halves to form quarters. Then, remove the pit.
- Cashews : Place the cashews in a small bowl and cover with water. Let the nuts soak overnight, or you can soak them in warm water for two hours. Drain the soaking water before using.
Juicing method by cold pressing
Start making the nut milk with the lid closed. Add a handful of cashews to the juicer, followed by a quarter of the water. Alternate adding cashews and water until all the water is used up.
Open the lid to drain the nut milk before juicing the fruit. Next, add the strawberries. They can all be added at once.
Lastly, juice the peaches by adding a few pieces at a time and letting the juicer press through each time before adding more pieces.
Tip : Use firm peaches as they are easier to press through the juicer.
AUTO10S : First prepare the milk, then place the strawberries on the bottom and the peaches on top.
