Crispy seed crackers with beetroot pomace
Simple, delicious, and sustainable—perfect for snacking! Use the pulp from your freshly squeezed beetroot juice in the Kuvings slow juicer to create these healthy crackers. Give them a try and let us know how you like them!
Ingredients:
- 100 g crushed flaxseed
- 150 ml water
- 100 g beetroot pomace
- 50 g pumpkin seeds
- 50 g sunflower seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp herbs of your choice (e.g. thyme or rosemary)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Preparation:
1. Soak crushed flaxseeds in hot water for about 10 minutes until they have a gel-like consistency.
2. Add beetroot pomace, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, salt and optional herbs.
3. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper, drizzle with olive oil and bake the crackers for about 40-50 minutes at 160°C until golden brown.
4. Let cool completely, break into pieces and enjoy!
