Promote eye health with these ingredients!

Carrots are a rich source of beta-carotene, a form of vitamin A, which plays an important role in eye health. It supports vision, especially in low-light conditions, and helps prevent age-related macular degeneration and cataracts.

Blueberries , especially their anthocyanins, have antioxidant properties and protect the eyes from oxidative stress and inflammation, which can contribute to diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Plums provide a good supply of vitamin C, which protects the blood vessels of the eyes and can reduce the risk of cataracts.

Have fun juicing!

Ingredients

6 carrots

2 plums

100 g blueberries, fresh or thawed

Juicing time: 4 minutes

Juice quantity: 600 ml

Makes 2 servings

preparation

Carrots

  • Cut the carrots lengthwise once to remove the core.
  • Juice with the peel.
  • Note: If using larger carrots, cut them lengthwise into quarters if necessary.
  • REVO830: No cutting required if they fit into the carrot chute.
  • AUTO10S : Cut the carrots crosswise into 2 or 3 pieces so that they fit into the hopper.

Plums

  • Cut the stone in half on both sides.
  • Juice with peel.

Blueberries

  • Juice whole. If using frozen berries, thaw them before juicing.

Juicing by cold pressing

  • It's best to start with the blueberries in this juice recipe because they're soft and light. You can add them all to the juicer at once.
  • Then add the plums. They'll juice easily, so add the slices all at once.
  • Lastly, juice the carrots by adding them one at a time to the juicer.

Tip: If your carrots have become limp or pliable, cut off the wide stem end and soak them in cold water overnight before juicing.

Health benefits

Carrots: Among juice enthusiasts, carrots are considered outstanding in the fight against cancer. They are rich in antioxidants, including alpha-carotene, lutein, beta-carotene, and lycopene. Beta-carotene, in particular, is known for its cancer-preventing properties. The body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A, which can help slow processes that contribute to cancer development.

Carrot juice is also considered an effective natural remedy for relieving stomach ulcers. Juicing releases antiseptic phytochemicals in carrots that can inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms in the gut.

Plums

Plums are an important source of minerals such as iron, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium, all of which are crucial for maintaining normal blood pressure and healthy heart function. The magnesium in plums acts as a natural sedative, relaxing the nerves and promoting the restoration of natural REM sleep.

Plums are particularly effective in relieving digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, and constipation. They contain malic acid and quinic acid, which make up most of the organic acid content in ripe plum juice and may help bind heavy metals in the body. These metals are often associated with memory loss and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Regular consumption of plums can contribute to improved vision, radiant skin, healthy brain function, a regulated digestive tract, reduced inflammation, increased resistance to colds and infections, and improved metabolism.

Blueberries

One of the most fascinating health benefits of fresh blueberries is their ability to reverse short-term memory loss associated with age. They also act as an unusual probiotic, preventing the adhesion of bacteria that cause urinary tract infections. They also contain chemicals that curb diarrhea, offer antiviral properties, and are rich in natural aspirin. Anthocyanin, the pigment that gives blueberries their blue color, is most prized for its significant health benefits in cancer prevention. Blueberries are said to have one of the highest antioxidant levels of any common fruit and vegetable.
