Rhubarb-apple juice
Rhubarb alert!
Spring brings fresh stalks – high time for a glass of sparkling rhubarb-apple juice.
Refreshing, slightly sour and full of valuable nutrients.
Ingredients
- 1–2 kg apples
- 2–3 stalks of rhubarb
Tip:
Cut the rhubarb into short pieces before juicing—otherwise, the fine fibers can block the pulp outlet. While the AUTO10S prefers to process whole fruits, in this case, chopping makes a crucial difference.
Rhubarb provides calcium, potassium and iron – good for the heart, blood pressure and digestion.
Important: Rhubarb should not be eaten raw after June 24th, as the oxalic acid content is then too high.
